Spiral of Life

According to ancient philosophy life is not a cycle but a spiral. Every life lesson that has ever been presented to you will come back again, until you learn it. You cannot get life wrong; you cannot miss out on anything that is destined for you. You continually come back to things you thought you understood and gain a deeper understanding.

You can find beautiful spirals appearing abundantly in nature, from tornadoes and hurricanes to budding tips of ferns, seeds of a sunflower, and the curved shell of a snail, our DNA structure, earth’s magnetic field and even galaxies in space.

Believed to be the earliest symbol known to us, spirals are an integral part of our spiritual growth, our life experiences and lessons of life. The Spiral of Life is a Celtic symbol that depicts the ever continuing cycle of life, death, and rebirth. It is also believed that this important symbol represents the male, female, and child moving ahead on the path of life.

The spiral of life depicts the progression of the universe from the oneness of God/Goddess/The Divine. So it is regarded as a symbol of energy which finds divine order out of chaos. From this understanding we too can make sense of the chaos in our life, perhaps put things more into perspective. So that even when we don’t have the answers and life feels out of control, we know that all is as it should be. When we are little further along in our journey we will discover how everything we needed has come together for a higher purpose.
